RPM MAX 2200 

The NF-A8 is a highly optimized and high quality 80mm silent fan. Since it has the Noctua AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) framework and the characteristics of a sophisticated aerodynamic design, such as the Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A8 improves the recognized silent cooling performance of the NF- R8, how awarded has been. The PWM version uses the NE-FD1 IC specially designed by Noctua for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan connectors and is equipped with a Noise Reduction Adapter that reduces the maximum speed from 2200 to 1750 rpm during PWM control Its smooth and quiet operation, 

Flow Acceleration Channels

The rotor of the NF-A8 has Flow Acceleration Channels on the suction side. By increasing the speed of the air flow in the crucial outer regions of the blades, this measure reduces the separation of the flow on the suction side and thus resulting in greater efficiency and lower vortex noise.
Frame AAO

The frames with Advanced Acoustic Optimization AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) of Noctua have integrated anti-vibration panels in addition to proprietary Noctua technologies such as Stepped Inlet Design (step input design) and Inner Surface Microstructures (internal surface microstructures) that perfect fan noise performance efficiency

Stepped Inlet Design

The Noctua Stepped Inlet Design adds turbulence to the inflow to facilitate the transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow, which reduces the tonal input noise, improves the adhesion of the flow and increases the flow suction capacity, especially in confined space environments

Inner Surface Microstructures (Internal Surface Microstructures) 

When the tips of the fan blades pass through the delimiter layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, the separation of the flow with respect to the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, reducing the blade rotation noise and improving the air flow and pressure efficiency

Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads

Integrated Anti-Vibration Panels made of extra soft silicone that minimize the transmission of small vibrations while maintaining full compatibility with all standard screws and other mounting systems.

SSO2 bearings

The NF-A8 has the recognized Noctua second generation SSO optimized bearings. With SSO2, the rear magnet is located closer to the shaft to provide greater stability, precision and durability.

PWM IC of own design with SCD (Soft Switching Unit)

With full support for automatic PWM speed control, the NF-A8 PWM uses the new Noctua-designed NE-FD1 PWM IC that integrates with Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD). By providing smoother torque pulses, the SCD decreases the noise of PWM shifts and makes the fan run quieter at low speeds

Low-Noise Adapter (Noise Reduction Adapter)

The NF-A8 PWM comes with a Low-Noise Adapter LNA (noise reduction adapter) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 2200 to 1750 rpm. The LNA can be used both to use the fan at a fixed speed of 1750 rpm and to set a maximum speed when using the automatic PWM control.

Extensible Wiring Options

The 20cm main short cable of the fan minimizes the cable mess in typical situations while the supplied 30cm extension cable allows extra reach when necessary. Both cables are fully lined
