Equipped with advanced aerodynamic design measures, such as the Flow Acceleration Channels and the AAO frame, the NF-A4x10 5V is the 5V version of the premium, silent and highly optimized 40 x 10 mm fan. Noctua Smooth Commutation Drive technology and Noctua reference SSO2 bearings guarantee spectacular performance fluidity and excellent long-term stability.
5 volt version
Many devices, such as network and storage solutions, use 40 mm 5 volt fans. With the same operating voltage and including the OmniJoin ™ adapter assembly, which makes it compatible with proprietary fan connectors, the NF-A4x10 5V is ideal for replacing 5V 40mm fans that make noise or are broken.
Stream Acceleration Channels
The NF-A4x10 impeller has flow acceleration channels on the suction side. By accelerating the flow of air in the outer part of the most important blades, the separation of the flow in the suction side is reduced and, therefore, better efficiency and lower vortex noise are achieved.
Reduced engine hub size
Thanks to its simplified and compact motor design, the engine hub of the NF-A4x10 is smaller than that of conventional 4 cm fans. This makes a larger blade surface possible and, therefore, contributes to the greater air flow and fan pressure performance.
Noctua's AAO (advanced acoustic optimization) frames feature integrated anti-vibration pads, as well as the step-by-step entry design and internal surface microstructures (both owned by Noctua), which further enhance the sound efficiency and performance of the fan.
Step by step input design
The Noctua step-by-step entry design adds turbulence to the air inlet to facilitate the transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow, which reduces tonal input noise, improves flow attachment and increases suction capacity, especially in environments with restricted space.
Internal surface microstructures
With the ends of the fan blades colliding with the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures (internal surface microstructures), the separation of the flow from the suction side of the blades decreases significantly, resulting in a noise of passage between the lower blades, better air flow and greater pressure efficiency.
Integrated anti-vibration pads
The integrated anti-vibration pads, made of extra soft silicone, minimize the transmission of vibrations per minute, while maintaining compatibility with all standard screws and other mounting systems.
Smooth Commutation Drive 2
The latest version of Noctua's advanced Smooth Commutation Drive system ensures spectacular performance fluidity by eliminating torsional variations and switching noise. This makes the NF-A4x10 remarkably silent even over very short distances.
The NF-A4x10 has the second generation, even more optimized, of the renowned SSO bearings from Noctua, with proven efficiency. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the shaft to provide better stabilization, accuracy and durability.
3 to 2 pin adapter and polarity protection
The NF-A4x10 includes a 3-pin Molex adapter to the 2-pin connectors used on many graphics cards, or on network and storage devices. An integrated diode provides protection against polarity on 2-pin connections.
OmniJoin adapter set
Many devices equipped with 40mm fans use proprietary fan connectors, so the NF-A4x10 includes a Noctua OmniJoin adapter set. Simply cut the original fan cable, secure it to the adapter using the included 3M Scotchlok ™ connectors, and you can connect the NF-A4x10 to the proprietary fan connectors.
Extensive wiring options
The 20 cm main short fan cable minimizes cable buildup in typical applications, while the included 30 cm extension cable provides greater reach when necessary. The two cables are completely meshed.
